THRAPP THEATRICS

Thrapp Theatrics is a three-time Emmy® nominated production company founded by Emmy® winner Jacki Thrapp.

This scrappy production company is known for disrupting the entertainment industry with affordable commercial productions that generate the same buzz as big budget powerhouses.

Lighthouse: An Immersive Drinking Musical ran Off-Broadway from July 2023 - September 2023 after a sold-out run at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The Edinburgh Evening News listed the show as a “Must See” production in Scotland and New York critics named the Irish-American show one of the “Top Off-Broadway Shows” of the summer in 2023 on both Show Score and TDF. The book, lyrics and music are by Jacki Thrapp with additional material by Billy Recce. Select songs from the Off-Broadway production will be available St. Patrick’s Day 2024.

Gianmarco Soresi’s Shelf Life was executive produced by Thrapp Theatrics in 2020 and received three Emmy® nominations in 2021 for “Best Director,” “Best Performer” and “Best Set Design.” NPR claimed the documentary stand-up special is a “fascinating snapshot” of where stand-up comedy was during the pandemic. The film became a top comedy special on Amazon Prime in the fall of 2020 and debuted in the top 10 on the Apple Music Comedy Charts in 2021. The album received “honorable mention” in the 2020 Comedy/Novelty category of the International Songwriting Competition (ISC).

Hanukkah Haunting made the second round in the 2020 Austin Film Festival’s Fiction Podcast Competition. The script was picked up by Audible and can be streamed with an all-star cast including Sarah Natochenny (the voice of Ash Ketchum in Pokémon), two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser and Mike Pollock (the voice of Doctor Eggman in the Sonic the Hedgehog series).

Christmas Pitch, a Hallmark movie parody audio-only, can be streamed on Audible as well.

Jacki Thrapp collaborated with Kyle Pudenz and top Nashville musicians on new, original country music set to be released in the spring of 2024!

Thrapp also became one of the newest members of Nashville Improv in 2024. Check our the “tour” section of this website for dates at City Winery in Nashville.
